Our Selection : The Minnesota Vikings gave it their all last week and were leading late in the game before the Cowboys marched down for the winning touchdown. In Week 2 the Bears got a TD with 10 seconds left to get the 1 point win. In Week 3 the Browns scored a TD with 51 seconds left to win by 4. That’s just how the Minnesota’s season has played out.
Now this week they face a team that on paper should give their defense fits.
That being said, you could argue that with Ponder at the helm the Vikings have been much more competitive with 3 of his 5 starts games that no fault of his could have won. We’re going to take that stance. The Redskins are 1-3 straight up and against the spread on the road this season beating only Oakland who was playing with their 2nd string QB Matt Flynn at the time. Flynn’s performance in that game lead to his release shortly after the game.
The Vikings should win this game if Ponder isn’t asked to do too much. He should get a lot of help from the ground attack with the Redskins D ranking only 11th against the run and Peterson did look like he may be turning the corner on his season plagued by nagging hamstring.
The Vikings have a long list of players that are banged up and may be out on defense, so keep an eye on the injury report before you unload on this game.
Take the Minnesota Vikings +2.5 at 5Dimes and get reduced juice on every play.
