Point Spread Pick:
On paper UConn had a difficult road to reach the Final Four having to beat the No.2 seed Villanova, the No. 3 Iowa State, and many sharp’s tournament favorite the No.4 Michigan State in their bracket. So, the Huskies have definitely earned their spot in the Final Four. Florida had an as easy go of it in the tournament having the NO. 4 UCLA Bruins as their toughest competition. The Gators earned their cream puff tourney schedule from their exceptional regular season play, so there is no argument on whether they deserve to be here. My argument is with the line. Yes the Florida Gators have won 30 in a row and in 21 of those games they beat their competition by more than the current line of 6.5. But, it’s the game that preceded the 30-game win streak that I’m more interested in. They lost by the smallest of margins but it was to who that is the key. I’ll take the points and side with the public here (Did I just say that?) backing the team that was the last to beat Florida this season. Take the UConn Huskies +6.5.
