Point Spread Betting Pick
Clemson did get smoked 51 -14 by Florida State and while we are not going to blame it all on the injuries, the fact does remain that they were beat up and logically would have provided the Seminoles with a tougher test if they were healthy. The only other loss on the Tigers schedule was versus South Carolina a team that did not beat them. They best themselves in that game finishing with a -6 in turnover margin. Ohio State is a good team, but nowhere near as good as Florida State who just crushed teams or even the Gamecocks in our opinion. The Buckeyes defense has been a problem all season, but was masked to a certain extent by their strong pass rush which had 4 players finish in the league’s top 10 in sacks. On paper that took a big hit with team sack leader Noah Spence possibly out for this game. Ohio State has allowed 420 yards or greater in 4 straight games and gave up a un-bowl worthy total of 75 points in their last two. If Clemson can protect QB Tajh Boyd this could get ugly.
