Our Selection : Oklahoma is 7-1 on the season with their only loss being to the improved Longhorns on the road. They are on the road again this week, but keep in mind that the Sooners are 2-1 as a visitor this season and did beat the Fighting Irish 35-21 in late September.
Baylor has yet to lose this season with a record of 7-0 and the Bears aren’t just winning games, they’re destroying teams. All but one team has lost by 31 or more points. That team would be the Kansas State Wildcats who lost 35-25.
The Bears could not extend the lead versus the Wildcats and we believe that will be the case with the Sooners. Baylor struggled with K-States’ Pro-set offense allowing their high yardage total on the season. Oklahoma uses the same type of offense but has the better rushing attack ranking 17th in the nation. The stat that stands out the most is not on offense though. The Wildcats held the Bears 7th ranked rushing attack to 2.9 yards a carry! While we don’t know if the Sooners can duplicate that number, we do know that Oklahoma ranks No. 10 in total defense in the country.
This will be the toughest test of the season for both teams. If the Sooners don’t let the Bears open up a big early lead, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Oklahoma to get the outright win. Of course if Baylor gets up big early this could get ugly. It’s not very often that you can take a team that you believe has a shot to win and get 15 points.
Take the Oklahoma Sooners +15 at 5Dimes and get reduced juice on every play.
