2015 Super Bowl Betting Odds

Even with all the trades, off-season signings, and the draft the teams with the lowest odds to win the 2015 Super Bowl at are the ones that met in last season’s big game, the Broncos and Seahawks.

Denver Broncos – Odds: +650

Peyton Manning is now 1-2 in Super Bowls, but has the squad to get back to the big game. Erik Decker is gone, but he has some solid targets and a defense that may be better this season if Von Miller can have a comeback season. Still, Denver is in a tough division and also plays one of the toughest schedules in the league.

Seattle Seahawks – Odds: +700

In the off-season the Seahawks threw a ton of money at their key players in the secondary, but because of that lost some players on the defensive side of the ball. Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch have to lead the offense, but to repeat as champions the defense has to play like last season.

San Francisco 49ers – Odds: +850

Colin Kaepernick will lead the offense again and Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree have to stay healthy, which they did not do last season. Frank Gore is over 30 and his workload is a concern, but he is still THE guy for the San Fran offense. Patrick Willis leads the defense that will be the strength of the team again.

New England Patriots – Odds: +950

While Tom Brady did not get many new weapons in the off-season to help him out on offense the defense added some key guys. That D will be crucial in the post-season, which they should get to playing in the weak AFC East.

Green Bay Packers – Odds: +1500

Last season showed how key it is to have a healthy Aaron Rodgers and with Eddie Lacy running the ball and Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson as his main targets Green Bay should have a great offense. On defense the team made some moves to help that side of the ball, which they really needed not taking in the top 24 last season in pass or run defense.

New Orleans Saints – Odds: +1500

The Saints have Drew Brees and a great pass defense, but talking about the run that is their key weakness. Brees has not had a legit RB in the last few seasons and the New Orleans run defense only ranked 19th in the NFL last season.

Indianapolis Colts – Odds: +1800

The Colts have WR Reggie Wayne back and healthy and Andrew Luck was solid last season, but can former top 5 draft pick Trent Richardson be THE RB Indy hopes he would be when they traded for him last season? The run defense really struggled last season and in the off-season the Colts made some moves to help their D overall.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Odds: +2000

Last season showed that even though Ben Roethlisberger had a big season the Steelers need to get back to running the ball and playing great defense. They have to play better than last season in those aspects and if they do not the playoffs are a long shot.

Chicago Bears – Odds: +2000

Can Jay Cutler get the job done in Chicago? Can he stay healthy? How much will the Bears’ defense miss Julius Peppers? These are all big questions for the Bears.

Philadelphia Eagles – Odds: +2800

Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy will lead the Philly offense again, which may be better in the 2nd season under offensive guru Chip Kelly. Still, there are big concerns on defense, especially a pass defense that ranked dead last in the NFL last season. On top of that the Eagles play a tough schedule as last season’s division winner having to face the 49ers, Panthers, Packers, and Seahawks.

Cincinnati Bengals – Odds: +3500

The Bengals may be a good bet to make the playoffs, but the Super Bowl? QB Andy Dalton is 0-3 in the playoffs in his 3 seasons in the league.

Baltimore Ravens – Odds: +4000

The Ravens may be a good dark horse pick, but Joe Flacco and Ray Rice have to forget about last season’s debacle. TE Greg Olson and WR Steve Smith were added to help the offense and the defense was pretty good last season.
