2015 AFC Betting Odds

Hey, big shock that the Broncos and Patriots have the lowest odds at to win the AFC this season with every other team being a long shot.

The Broncos were embarrassed in the Super Bowl last season, but they are still stacked and have the lowest odds to win the AFC this season.

Denver Broncos – Odds: +220

Peyton Manning is back for another shot to add another Super Bowl ring to his Hall of Fame legacy and even though the Broncos lost Erik Decker to the Jets Manning still has a great WR corps. Montee Ball is the new #1 RB for Denver and the defense lost some starters and has issues in the passing D and Von Miller looks to rebound from a sub-par season.

The Broncos play a killer schedule not facing one team that had a losing record last season until Week 10.

New England Patriots – Odds: +350

Once again Tom Brady heads into the season with a decent, at best WR corps, and the fumble prone Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen will man the rushing attack. In the off-season the Pats made several solid moves to bolster their defense signing several solid players including Darrelle Revis. New England does not face a team that had a winning record last season until their 4th game.

Indianapolis Colts –Odds: +1000

Andrew Luck was solid last season and ne has Reggie Wayne back from injury and a solid WR corps. Trent Richardson has to prove he is the #1 RB and he struggled, big time, for Indy after coming over from Cleveland in the beginning of the season. The defense is the issue in Indianapolis, but at least they play in the weakest division in the NFL.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Odds: +1300

The Steelers were not the usual Steelers’ team last season, as they not only missed out on the playoffs, but their defense was not dominant. Ben Roethlisberger played well behind an improved offensive line, but he got no help from the rushing attack, which is why the team signed LeGarrette Blount. In their first 7 games this season they only face one team that made the playoffs last season.

Cincinnati Bengals – Odds: +1400

The Bengals made the playoffs for the 3rd straight season with Andy Dalton under center, but he still has 0 playoff wins. He has a solid WR corps led by A.J. Green and Giovani Bernard may emerge as the lead back after a solid rookie campaign. The defense did lose Michal Johnson, which may be big, but they should still be a good unit that ranked 5ht against both the pass and run last season. Cincy does not face one playoff team from last season in their first 3 games.

Baltimore Ravens – Odds: +2000

The Ravens stumbled last season mainly because Joe Flacco and Ray Rice struggled. Flacco has a couple of new weapons in WR Steve Smith TE Owen Daniels, which should help open up the offense. Rice is suspended for the first 2 games of the season and he and Bernard Pierce will pace the rushing offense. The defense was solid last season, but they lost some starters. Pittsburgh opens the season with 3 straight games facing NFC North teams.

San Diego Chargers – Odds: +2200

Phillip Rivers had a comeback season last season and he and RB Ryan Mathews, who rushed for over 1,250 yards last season, give the Chargers a solid offensive attack. San Diego made some good moves to improve the defense and the team needs to get off to a good start, as the end of the season is killer having to face the Patriots, Broncos, 49ers, and Chiefs in their last 4 games.

Kansas City Chiefs – Odds: +2500

The Chiefs turned things around last season with Alex Smith under center and new head coach Mike Reid. Jamaal Charles had a monster season in the backfield, but they have to get better WR play, as RB Charles was the leading receiver for the team last season. After a great start the KC D struggled down the stretch and they did not rank in the top 20 in pass defense or run defense last season.
