Pac 12 Futures Odds
Stanford has won back-to-back Pac-12 championships, but it looks like Oregon has the nod from the bovada oddsmakers to win their division in the PAC 12 Conference.
Oregon – Odds: 130
Oregon is loaded yet again this season and QB Marcus Mariota is a pre-season Heisman candidate. The Ducks should have a dynamic offense again, which they may need since their defense is a question mark. The defensive line is a big issue and run defense will be key for the Ducks. Their big conference games this season facing Washington and Stanford are at home, but they have a big test facing UCLA on the road.
UCLA- Odds: +275
The Bruins had a solid 2013 season with 10 wins and they have a legit shot to win the conference title with Heisman hopeful Brett Hundley under center. The defense lost several key players and on top of that their defensive coordinator Lou Spanos bolted to the NFL. The schedule is a favorable ones facing Stanford, Oregon, and USC at home.
USC – Odds: +475
Steve Sarksian takes over for the Trojans and can he get USC back to their past glory? Cody Kessler should be the QB and while Marqise Lee is in the NFL the Trojans have a good WR and RB corps and will run an up tempo offense. The defense lost 3 of their 4 pass rushers so pass defense is a concern for USC this season. The Trojans do not face Oregon this season, but their games facing Stanford and UCLA are both on the road.
Stanford – Odds: +1500
Kevin Hogan is back under center for the Cardinal, who will have a good aerial attack. However, the top 2 RB’s from last season in Tyler Gaffney and Anthony Wilkerson are gone as are a few starters from the offensive line. Still, the defense should be solid with a ton of senior leadership on that side of the ball. Talk about a tough schedule, as Stanford has to hit the road to face Oregon, Washington, and UCLA.
Washington – Odds: +1500
Chris Petersen left Boise State to take over for Washington, who have yet to name a starting QB with Kevin Price gone. RB Bishop Sankey and his 1700+ rushing yards from last season is also gone and that is a concern. The defensive and offensive line returns many starts and that is the good news for the Huskies. While they host Stanford and UCLA they face Oregon on the road.
Arizona St – Odds: +1800
The Sun Devils were a surprise last season winning 10 games and they return 3-year starting QB Taylor Kelly. While WR’s Jaelen Strong and D.J. Foster are back, but the defensive lost 9 of 11 starters and the young guys have to fill in and play well for ASU to have any chance at the conference title. They host UCLA and Stanford and hit the road to play Washington.
