ACC Futures Odds

Florida State currently has the lowest odds to win the ACC Championship in 2014 as listed at Bovada Sportsbook and is also one of the top choices on the odds board to win the National Championship.

Florida St – Odds: -320

No shock that FSU is the betting favorite to win the ACC with Heisman winning QB Jameis Winston back They also return many starters from each side of the ball and last season the Seminoles had the nation’s top-ranked defense. They host Clemson early in the season and their 2 big road conference tests come facing Louisville and Miami.

North Carolina – Odds: +800

Marquise Williams will be the starting QB for the Tar Heels, who have a new spread offense that should be exciting to watch. The defense lost some key players and that may be the weakness of the squad this season. While they do not face FSU in conference play they have a tough schedule hitting the road to play Clemson, Miami, and Duke.

Clemson – Odds: +850

QB Tajh Boyd and WR Sammy Watkins are gone, but Clemson has had great recruiting in the last few seasons and senior Cole Stoudt may get the starting nod under center. The defense ranked 24th in the nation again and they may need to play better than last season with the top 2 playmakers gone. The schedule favors them after having to face Florida State on the road early in the season.

Virginia Tech – Odds: +1200

Logan Thomas is gone and the QB position is an issue for Virginia Tech. Trey Edmunds rushed for 675 yards last season and he may be counted on to carry the offense this season. The Hokies will hang their hats on their defense, which ranked 11th in the nation last season. Facing Duke, North Carolina, and Pitt on the road will be big tests.

Louisville – Odds: +1800

The Cardinals won 12 games last season, but that was with Teddy Bridgewater under center and playing in the AAC. The Cardinals are now in a much tougher conference, but will still have a good defense, returning many key players, that ranked 2nd in the nation last season. They will be welcomed to the ACC right away with the first game facing Miami and they have to host FSU this season.

Miami FL – Odds: +2000

The Hurricanes lost their starting QB and a couple of key offensive linemen, but the defense should be better than last season. RB Duke Johnson’s great 2013 campaign was cut short by injury and he looks to have a big season. While facing Louisville on the road in the opening game and hosting FSU are tough games the schedule is a favorable one for the Canes.

Georgia Tech – Odds: +3000

QB Vad Lee is back, but the Yellow Jackets lost their main RB on a squad that ranked 6th in the nation in rushing yards per game. The defense has some holes and several of their key ACC games are on the road.
