In their last NCAA Tournament game North Carolina rebounded nicely after a flat performance against Harvard to knock off a tough Arkansas team 87-78. The winning margin of nine points gave UNC bettors a point spread cover. The win was their fifth in the last six games and the ATS win was their fourth over the same span. The 165 points scored in the game went OVER the 158 point total for their third OVER in the last four games.

Wisconsin got the win 72-65 against Oregon, but didn’t get the cover with winning margin falling way short of their 12 point handicap the Badgers were assess by the odds makers. The win was their 18th in the last 19 games and the ATS loss was their 7th in their last 11 games. The 137 points in the game went UNDER the closing total of 143 points for their 9th UNDER in the last 14 games they played.

The Badgers have yet to lose on a neutral court beating not one or two tournament teams but 8! Sure they were fortunate to beat Michigan State in the Big Ten Final, but I have no doubt in my mind that the Spartans would easily put away the Tar Heels. The spread of course comes in to play and Wisconsin certainly isn’t some covering machine but they have won by 7 or greater points in their last 13 wins.
