In their last NIT games Murray State beat Tulsa 83-62 crushing the -3 point line that Racer backers had to lay. The win was their second consecutive and 27th in their last 28 games. The ATS win was their third in the last 5 games, but only their 6th in their last 15.
Old Dominion snuck by Illinois State 50-49 failing to get the point spread cover as a 4.5 point betting favorite. The win was the Monarchs 8th in their last 9 games and the spread loss was their third in a row after stringing together six straight covers.
The Racers use offense to get it done scoring a 8th ranked 79.3 points per game. The Monarchs rely on a suffocating defense to lead them to victory with the No. 8 ranked scoring defense.
These two teams have two recent meetings although the latest was back in 2013 when ODU got the 70-60 win with the 10-point margin easily covering the -3.5 odds. Prior to that they met in 2012 with Murray State getting victory 79-72 but not the ATS win as a prohibitive -13 point favorite.

(!)[G] 03/24/2015 – Trey Freeman probable Wednesday vs. Murray State ( Ankle )
The Monarchs haven’t been the best point spread bet in recent games, winning their last 3 but failing to get the money in all 3 of the games. That won’t be the case tonight with the 1 point line on the game. ODU has won all 19 games at home this season and while the narrow victory over a fast improving Illinois State may not impress some remember this team knocked off Wichita State before dropping the conference final to Northern Iowa. Last time I looked both of those teams were still in the dance.
