The 31-41 Utah Jazz host the 41-31 Oklahoma City Thunder in a Western Conference match up on 3/2/2015 at EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, UT; Tipoff is at 8:00 PM ET.
Point Spread: Thunder -4.5
Over/Under Total Line: 195
In their last game the Jazz were on the road and lost to the San Antonio Spurs 130-91 where they came nowhere near covering the spread as a 7.5-point underdog. In their previous 3 games and 6 of their last 7 OKC had covered the spread. In the Spurs game the total went Over, which was the 2nd straight game for the Thunder that the Over has been the winning bet. In their last 10 games they have an O/U record of 7-2-1. Overall, the Thunder are coming off a loss, but they are 7-3 in their last 10 games.
The Thunder have been a solid home betting team on the season (22-13-1 ATS), but not on the road (14-21-1 ATS). They have only played 3 road games in their last 12 where they are 1-2 ATS. On the road this season the Thunder have an O/U record of 20-16 and the Over has definitely been the bet for them as of late since that has been the winning wager in their last 9 road games.
The Jazz are coming off 107-91 road loss to the Denver Nuggets where they did not cover the spread as a 2-point underdog. Utah has not 4 straight and on top of that they have failed to cover the cover the spread in any of those games. The posted total went Over for the Denver game, which was their 4th straight game where the Over was the winning bet. In their last 10 games the Jazz are 3-7 ATS and have an O/U record of 5-5. Overall, the Jazz are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
The Jazz have not been a good betting team at home this season (17-19 ATS), but have been on the road (20-14-2 ATS). Utah has failed to cover the spread in 4 out of their last 5 home games including their last 3. The Jazz have the exact same home O/U record both at home and on the road at 14-22. In their last 2 home games the posted total has gone Over while in the previous 2 games the total went Under.
This is the 4th game of the season between these 2 teams and the Thunder have won 2 of 3 with the home team winning every time. However, the Jazz have covered in 2 of the 3 games facing OKC on the season including the 1 game at home. Utah has covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 home games facing the Thunder. In the 3 games between these 2 teams this season the posted total has gone Under every time.
Some other angles to consider:
The Jazz are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games against the Thunder.
In the last 15 games between these 2 teams the total has gone Under 11 times.
This season the Jazz are 17-19 at home and the Thunder are 14-22 on the road.

The Thunder are coming off an embarrassing blowout loss to the Spurs and on top of that got bad news in that Kevin Durant is out for the season. Still, the Thunder are in good shape to make the playoffs and are a betting favorite tonight against the reeling Jazz.
In the 1 win for the Jazz this season against the Thunder Russell Westbrook was not on the court and he is the front-runner for the MVP even though he did not have a good game against the Spurs. Oklahoma City has won 7 of their last 9 games facing the Jazz and in both losses Westbrook was sidelined. He will have a big game tonight and the Thunder will hand the Jazz their 5th straight loss and cover the spread as well.
