2014 NBA Championship Title Futures Betting Odds

Odds to Win the 2014 NBA Championship

The Heat are the 2-time defending NBA champions and with their roster in tact, for the most part, they have the been made the betting choice at sportsbook Bovada to win the title this season.

Miami Heat – Odds: +300

The Heat won the title again and with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade back they are set for another run. The team did lose long-range gunner Mike Miller, but they may finally have a solid C if free agent addition Greg Oden pans out. However, he has well-documented injury issues and a full season out of him is a gamble.

Oklahoma City Thunder – Odds: +700

The Thunder had bad luck last season with star PG Russell Westbrook being injured in the playoffs and he hopes to be back for the start of the regular season. OKC will have to find some more offense now that SG Kevin Martin, who averaged 14 ppg last season, signed with the Timberwolves in the off-season. Still, any team with Durant and a healthy Westbrook is formidable, which is why they have the lowest odds for any team from the Western Conference.

Chicago Bulls – Odds: +1000

The Bulls have solid odds since former MVP Derrick Rose will be back. The team lost last season’s playoff spark plug in Nate Robinson, but made a solid addition brining in Mike Dunleavy. The team features Luol Deng and Joakim Noah and if Rose can come back and be his old self the Bulls have a good chance to upend the Heat in the East.

San Antonio Spurs – Odds: +1000

Do the Spurs have another title run in them? They came close last season losing in the finals in 7 games and they will need Tim Duncan and Tony Parker to repeat their great seasons.Manu Ginobili is not the player he once was, but can still give the team some offense. The playoffs showed that Kawhi Leonard is a star in the making.

Houston Rockets – Odds: +1200

The Rockets won the Dwight Howard sweepstakes and now James Harden has a superstar to play with. Can Howard and Omer Asik play together? That remains to be seen, but Houston has a solid young corps with Harden, Howard, Asik, and Chandler Parsons.

Los Angeles Clippers – Odds: +1200

Chris Paul signed a huge contract with the Clippers and he and Blake Griffin will lead the team again. L.A. made a couple of solid off-season moves especially signing J.J. Reddick and they look like they will sign Antawn Jamison.

Brooklyn Nets – Odds: +1400

The time to win for the Nets is now since they traded for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett and signed Andrei Kirilenko. Deron Williams and Brook Lopez have to stay healthy and Pierce and Garnett will have to prove they still have some gas left in the tank.

Indiana Pacers +1500

The Pacers have lost to the Heat in the last 2 Eastern Conference finals and this season it may be harder to get back there with Rose back with the Bulls and the new-look Nets. Paul George is the next superstar in the league and Roy Hibbert is one of the best young centers. The team re-signed David West, which was a great move, and the team is hoping that Danny Granger can come back from his injury that robbed him of last season.

Golden State Warriors – Odds: +2800

The Warriors were the darlings of the playoffs last season and they have a great young corps with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Harrison Barnes. Golden State may be a good dark horse pick, but Andrew Bogut and David Lee must stay healthy.
