This bet is all about value. The Angels send out young lefty Tyler Skaggs who has been on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring. He had a rehab start in Triple A and it was an ugly 3 inning 7 run (2 earned) performance. He wasn’t pitching well before the injury going 0-3 with a 5.00 ERA in his last 3 starts and it may take him awhile to regain his previous form. Chisox starter John Danks was humming along before getting blown up in Minnesota for 6 runs in 5 innings two starts ago, but he bounced back nicely in Toronto with 2 runs allowed over 6 innings. He’s been rock-solid at home with a 87.5% QS ratio and a 2.77 ERA. The offensive edge does go to the Angels with their success against left-handers, but there are too many question marks with Skaggs to lay a price.
Take Chicago White Sox +120.
