I’ve been going back and forth on the sides for this game and I just can’t make a strong enough argument for either team. The total is different story. While I have been impressed with the Wildcats’ offense the Huskies are playing knockout defense. That’s not to say that UConn will have an easy time of it with Kentucky’s size and speed, but they did hold an athletic Michigan State team to 54 points and I think they’ll slow the game down enough to hold the Wildcats in the low 60’s.
Some of you may be concerned with the 73 points put up by Wisconsin, but c’mon the Wildcats got into foul trouble in the first half and sat players allowing Wisconsin to put up 40. In the second half with their starters in for most of the half they held the Badgers to 33 point and don’t forget that Wisconsin were lights out from the charity stripe sinking 19 of 20 free throws.
