Point Spread Pick:
The Illini sure didn’t look impressive in January losing 6 out 7 games overall and only 1-2 as a host. On the season though they are 10-2 at home and do have a quality win over Missouri. Iowa certainly hasn’t impressed as a visitor with a 3-3 record, but the road schedule was tough. Losses by 3 to Iowa State, by 4 to Wisconsin and by 8 to Michigan are not signals to us that they play inferior ball away from home. Illinois’ recent play plus the Hawkeyes’ tendency to win by wide margins has us siding with the favorite.
Take the Iowa Hawkeyes -4.5
