Our Selection : The Colts have had two weeks to pat themselves on the back after handing the Broncos their first loss of the season in Week 7 and me be a bit full of themselves for their game this week. The Colts aren’t as strong on the road. Yes they did beat a very banged up 49ers team and did beat the awful Jaguars, but their toughest road competition was the Chargers who beat them 19-9 in Week 6.
The Texans with Case Keenum behind center looked good and gave the unbeaten Chiefs a scare in an eventual 1-point loss. But it won’t be Keenum that will be the key to beating the Colts. It will be the run game. Indianapolis has allowed 5 of their 7 opponents to rush for 100 or greater yards this season and rank 29th in rushing yards allowed per game.
Keep in mind that Houston leads the league in defense for yards allowed per game and passing yards allowed per game. The Texans rank only 27th in the league in scoring defense, but that number is out of whack with the ridiculous number of pick 6’s thrown by Houston’s QBs not named “Case”.
Take the Texans +1 at >5Dimes and get reduced juice on every play.
