Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Florida State Seminoles Betting
Time: 8 PM EST Saturday October 18, 2014, ABC / WatchESPN
This week in the college football schedule see’s the Florida State Seminoles and their 22 game winning streak host potentially their toughest matchup of the year so far when they meet the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The defending National Champs have continued to struggle this year in covering spread as 6 of the 7 last games they didn’t. This Saturday the Seminoles open as the 13.5 point favorites and this week might be another problem covering the spread.
Notre Dame has a very talented offense that will definitely have the ability to test the Seminoles defense. The Irish have scored more than 30 points in five of their last 6 games with the only exception being a home win over Stanford 17-14. Irish QB Everett Golson threw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns against North Carolina last week and they hope to bring the same tempo against Florida State.
Florida State appears to always be prepared and play to the level of its competition. The Irish should definitely pose a challenge this weekend with their high flying offense. The Seminoles QB Heisman Winner Jameis Winston had the best game of his season last week against Syracuse with 317 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week may come down to a battle of the defence as both teams are talented on both sides of the ball.

Free Point Spread Pick
The total may be the best play here when it comes out with botrh teams putting up a ton of pooints and not playing much defense. That said we don’t think that Irish can keep up with the Semilnoles on the scoreboard. Florida State hasn’t been covering the line, but they have been winning by large margins with only their season opener the only game they didn’t by 18 or more with Jameis Winston at the Helm. Look for the Seminoles to have a statement game on Saturday night.
Take the Florida State Seminoles -11.5
