Runline Pick:

The Tigers are now playing like most pundits expecting scoring a ton of runs while putting together 5 straight wins. They’ve lit the scoreboard up for 31 runs in the 5 game stretch and have been especially potent in their last 4 shredding their opponent’s pitching staff for 29 runs. They now face Texas starter Joe Saunders who surprisingly looked good after his call up with 6 earned runs allowed in his first 4 back, but came back to reality in his latest against the Angels where he gave up 7 runs (4 earned) in just 4 2/3 innings. Tiger starter Sanchez had a couple of rough outings against Texas with one last season and the other in 2011, but looked sharp getting the win in a 7 inning – 2-run start this season. He’s on a roll right now with 6 straight quality starts and brings a cool 1.29 road ERA into his 5th road start. The line is too high for me to play the Tigers on the moneyline, but the numbers point to a decisive win for Detroit, so I’ll back them on the runline.
Take Detroit Tigers -1.5.
