- Updated: October 27, 2013
Time: 1 PM EST Sunday October 27, 2013, FOX
The Detroit Lions host the Dallas Cowboys in a NFC conference match up.
In their last games the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 17-3 on the road, While Detroit lost a close game to Cincinnati 27-24 at home.
Both The Lions and the Cowboys have had little trouble moving the ball through the air this season but both have struggled to run the ball with any consistency.
This game is probably going to come down to whatever defense plays better and makes the most key stops. Something both Dallas(29th) and Detroit (31st) for yards against, have failed to do so far this season.
These 2 teams have gone Over in all of their last 4 games.
This season the Lions are 2-1 at home and the Cowboys are 1-2 on the road.

Our Selection : Some scores make you go “huh”. That’s the case with the Cowboys’ 17-3 victory over the Eagles in Week 7. Philadelphia couldn’t run (84 yards) and they couldn’t pass (194). Now if the Eagles were offensively challenged that would be one thing, but the 278 yards allowed by the Cowboys was the lowest yardage output of the season by Philadelphia by 147 yards!
Dallas did continue to struggle running the ball with 6 games with less than 100 yards and have now averaged 65.5 yards versus teams not named the “Rams”. Not that the Cowboys overall rushing numbers were good (83.3 YPG, Ranked: 26th) but the 65.5 would put them in the 31 spot in the league. Many refer to the NFL as a passing league and we would agree. However, teams that can’t run the ball do not win football games at a high rate. Case in point would be the 32nd ranked Jaguars at 0-7, 31st ranked Giants at 1-6, and 30th ranked Falcons at 2-4.
The Lions have historically been strong at home and after losing to the Bengals in an ultra-close game, Detroit will be full of piss and vinegar for Week 8 which could be considered a must-win. The Cowboys are banged up and coming off back-to-back important games in their division. Look for that to catch up to them this week. Take Detroit -3 at Bovada and get up to a 50% Bonus.
