Point Spread Pick: This game will be decided on who will have more success running the ball. Both of these teams were beat up last week at the linebacker position, but the Cowboys’ game plan was to stack the box and force Raiders’ rookie QB Matt McGloin to beat them. That worked out well on the stat line with Dallas holding Oakland to 50 yards on the ground. This week they get back arguably their best defensive player in LB Sean Lee and fellow starter LB Justin Durant.
Things didn’t go so well for the Bears who allowed the Vikings to rush for 246 yards. Chicago has now allowed over 200 yards in back to back games and third time in their last 6. Minnesota’s per carry average of 6.2 yards marked the 4th time in 5 games that the Bears allowed an opponent to average 5.6 yards or greater per rush. Things are not looking up for Chicago who will be forced to go with the same defensive line-up versus Dallas.
If the weather doesn’t come into play here in the Windy City on Monday night the Cowboys are the way to go.
