The Miami Dolphins host the Cincinnati Bengals in a AFC conference match up.
In their last games the Dolphins lost 27-17 to the Patriots on the road, blowing a 17-3 half time lead. Cincinnati pounded the New York Jets 49-9 on the road for their 4th win in a row giving the Bengals a 3 game lead in the AFC North.
Miami has now dropped their 4th game in a row after a promising 3-0 start to the season. It won’t get any easier this week facing the red hot Bengal and Andy Dalton who threw a career high 5 TDs last week’s dismantling of the NY Jets.
The Bengals defense has been solid this season ranked 8th(322.5) yards allowed, 5th(18) points allowed, 8th(97.2) against the run and 11th(225.2) passing yards allowing per game.
Miami beat the Bengals 17-13 last year on October 7th in Cincinnati. The Dolphins have won 8 out of their last 10 meetings.
The road team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 games between these 2 teams.
Cincinnati is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against Miami.
This season Miami is 1-2 at home and the Cincinnati is 2-2 on the road.

Our Selection : This just isn’t a good spot for the Bengals who have a short week to prepare for their road game in Miami and coming off of an ego inflating 49-9 blowout of the Jets on Sunday. The problem is the point spread. Some sharp bettors jumped on the Dolphins getting 3-points but that was short lived with 2 and 2.5 points out there now at the majority of shops. You can still find some 3’s at the squarer books like Bovada. That being said, with no value available for most of our readers, we’re not going to suggest a point spread wager on this game.
The total does look appealing with the Bengals’ ultra efficient passing game allowing them to light up the scoreboard with 3 straight games of 27 or greater points. That can’t be said of the Dolphins vertical attack that has managed to exceed 200 yards in the air in only 2 of their last 5 games. We think they have a solid chance for improvement this week against the Cincinnati secondary that is beat up and has been prone to mistakes. Miami did get a running game going and while the Bengals do have a stiff run D, if they can even have marginal success on the ground it will make a big difference on the the protection or lack of for Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill.
