Our Selection : Not many would think that the Chippewas would have shot here and we certainly aren’t one of them. For the outright upset, but to get the money is a different story.
A 7-point road loss to North Texas is the only blemish on the Cardinals record this season. Ball State has be full value for their wins, but one thing stands out to us. Their rushing defense is awful. They rank No. 103 in the FBS. Only 20 teams out of 123 allow more rushing yards per game than the Cardinals. Sure the Chippewas rank just below them at No. 106, but keep in mind that Cent. Michigan has faced 4 winning teams this season. Ball State has faced 1 winning team North Texas.
We’re not getting the best of this line, but we still see a lot of value in getting nearly 3TDs taking a team that should be able to stay close throughout.
