Orioles’ starter Unbaldo Jiminez got back on track with a nice 6 innings pitched allowing 3 hits and 1 run. Jiminez has had mixed results against the Rangers although he was sharp against them last season when he was with Cleveland with the Indians wining both of his starts (13 innings, 5 hits and 1 earned run). The current Texas lineup lists Adrian Beltre and Shin-Soo Choo as the only batters who have had success against him in the past. The Rangers hope that Joe Saunders can provide a stop gap until they get back some arms from the infirm, but that is asking a lot. Saunders was an atrocious 11-16 with a 5.26 ERA last season with pitcher-friendly Safeco as his home field and it may be time to call it a career. He did look OK in his latest pitching 5 innings of shutout ball against the Twins. Jiminez has lacked run support all season which is a worry but his road ERA of 2.72 and Saunders expected short performance have us backing the road team. Take Baltimore Orioles +100.
