Arkansas Razorbacks (3-1) vs. No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies (4-0)
Opening Line: Texas A&M -8.5
Moneyline: Texas A&M -320/ Arkansas +260
Arkansas and Texas A&M are 2 of the highest scoring teams in the nation and it is no surprise that the total for the game is a sky high 70 points. The Razorbacks got over their opening season conference loss to 5th ranked Auburn by winning 3 straight games. Arkansas is already 0-1 in SEC play and if they lose this game their BCS playoff hopes are dashed.
To say that the SEC is stacked is an understatement and every team in the West Division is ranked with the exception of 1 and that 1 is Arkansas.
Texas A&M cannot overlook Arkansas even though their next 3 games are all conference match ups against opponents that are currently in the top 25.
While this game is at a neutral site at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas it is only 25 miles away from the Texas A&M campus, so the Aggies should have some home field advantage.
Arkansas is 3-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 4-0 and Texas A&M is 3-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 2-2.
Arkansas has lost 13 straight SEC games.
No Johnny Manziel no problem for A&M, as QB Kenny Hill has passed for over 1,350 yards with 13 TD and only 1 INT. He has several big play receivers and his top 2 targets each have over 145 receiving yards. 6’4” WR Josh Reynolds only has 12 catches on the season, but already has 4 TD and is averaging over 20 yards per catch. That is not good facing Arkansas, who only ranks 69th in the nation in pass defense.
The Aggies are not one-dimensional with Trey Williams leading a rushing attack that ranks 40th averaging 207.5 yards per game.
The key to the Aggies on defense in this game is stopping the run, as the Razorbacks rank 8th in the nation in rushing yards per game. Alex Collins leads the SEC with 490 rushing yards and Jonathan Williams is 4th with 391 and averages 8.1 yards per carry.
Arkansas QB Brandon Allen is decent, but he has yet to pass for over 200 yards this season. The Aggies have a solid all around defense that ranks 8th in the nation holding opponents to 11.8 ppg. After giving up 28 points to South Carolina in their season opener A&M has only given up 19 points combined in their last 3 games.
Arkansas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and they have an Over record of 23-9-1 in their last 33 games overall.
Texas A&M is 2-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 2-10 ATS in their last 12 neutral site games, and they have an Over record of 7-3 in their last 10 games facing a team with a winning record.
Arkansas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against Texas A&M.

Yes I know what they did against South Carolina, but realize that the Gamecocks’ secondary was wet behind the ears and obviously ill prepared. The blow out victories in their other 3 games was against inferior competition and this week they’ll be facing the toughest foe of the season in the Arkansas Razorbacks. Laying double digits against a divisional opponent who is more battle tested is not a bet that I want to be on.
