In the two games that Missouri lost this season their opponent ran for over 200 yards and outscored them a combined 65-27. So, to say that their run defense will be one of the keys to this game is obvious. The good news is that Mississippi, Arkansas, Mississippi State and LSU have all slowed down Alabama’s ground attack and there is no reason to think that Mizzou’s 26th ranked run defense won’t be able to duplicate that feat. Yes their schedule was underwhelming and yes their habit of slow starts is a concern, but getting more than two TD’s in a game where many stats point to a competitive game is too difficult to pass up.
